Customer Services and Purchasing
Demand Planner, Junior Credit Controller
 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Demand Planner to join our busy team at Nectar Imports Ltd.

 

The Role

Responsible for forecasting supply and demand, maintaining stock levels within agreed budgets to ensure adequate stocks are available of our full range at all times. Analysing sales and volume trends, assessing our forecasting to support with improved stock management.

This is a new role to the Nectar family and therefore would suit someone who is extremely pro-active, who will get stuck in and drive forecasting, working with all areas of the business and providing analysis to support the Senior Management team with business decisions.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

Planning

  • Responsible for developing a monthly and annual demand forecast for each SKU
  • Work closely with the buyers to enable stock to be purchased from alternative sources and to buy ahead of price increase, and to take advantage of any promotions
  • Ensure regular space planning of the warehouse is worked out and considered with the Warehouse Manager
  • Continuously monitor our stock levels and react as required when re-order point is triggered to maintain stock levels within agreed levels

Analysis

  • Analyse any fluctuations in sales to understand the reason and to support with more accurate forecasting for stock requirements
  • Provide monthly and yearly reporting analysis against the forecast to highlight any discrepancies and to provide commentary and actions required to improve accuracy on forecasts
  • Drive the identification and resolution of aged stock
  • Work closely with the sales team to gain specific customer insight to develop a more commercially astute demand forecast
  • Responsible for monitoring Sales against forecast, making adjustment where needed and communicating and short-term supply issues
  • Analysis of all external data relevant to the forecasting process to include market trends and seasonality

Administration

  • Preparing and submitting PO to replenish stock as required, avoiding insufficiency or excess
  • Check order confirmations received from suppliers
  • Amend PO's as advised by suppliers where there are stock issues
  • Respond to stock enquiries from other business areas

About You

The successful applicant will be well organised, detail oriented, have strong analytical skills, and it is essential that you are an effective communicator. You will have proven experience within a forecasting role and be experienced developing S&OP procedures. SAP experience would be an advantage.

Junior Credit Controller

The Junior Credit Controller is responsible for ensuring that all Nectar customers trade within their contractual terms.

 

This is a full time and permeant position, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor and action the credit control team's emails - credit control, customer accounts and checking the accounts email has been actioned.
  • Assist in producing the customer's monthly statements and credit control letters and post.
  • Monitoring your customer's accounts to ensure they are trading with in terms and limits agreed and contact them when necessary to keep inline.
  • Telephone your BACS payment customers to confirm payment dates and amount before they become due.
  • Action and secure a payment for the customers on the daily stop list who have placed an order putting their account over their existing credit limits and terms.
  • Ensuring the company's call management system is updated on all of your customer's accounts on any contact made and conversations.
  • Update the customer accounts daily of any trade updates downloaded from the credit safe system.
  • Daily update the Credit Control Manager with any customers who are causing you concern because they are unable to keep their account in line with the terms and limits agreed.
  • Allocating to the customer's account all the companies credit card payments received for pending orders, also taking customer's credit card payments as required and updating spreadsheets of all payments.
  • Daily download card payments from the Sage pay system for on-line customer orders and update spreadsheets and the customer's account accordingly.
  • On a daily basis, allocate Bacs, cheques and cash payments received on to the customer's accounts.
  • Daily upload the Direct Debit payment file into our accounting system, paying off customers collections.
  • Regularly reconcile customer's payment on account with their remittances ensuring all customer's accounts are kept up to date.
  • Download the daily BACS updates from the direct debit system and process any changes to our customers account on the company's accounting system and follow through with customer contact if required.
  • Help in the preparation of all the daily electronic Direct Debit collections processes, producing files, imports into the system ensuring letters and statements are sent to the customers.
  • Process potential new customer's credit application forms with credit facilities, checking credit rating to determine credit limits and trading terms up to the value of £2,500 Customer requesting over this value will need to be passed to the Credit Control Manager for approval.
  • Approved new customer accounts - update the customer's data on our systems sales ledger accordingly and if applicable on the company's direct debit system.
  • Assist with any other tasks to help with the smooth running of the Accounts department.

About You

This role is aimed at those with minimal or no experience in a credit controller role. Over the course of the first 12 months we will provide a detailed training programme in all aspects of credit control. After 12 months' depending on performance, we will put the successful employee through a Debt Management and Credit Controller qualification.

The successful candidate will be able to build and maintain excellent relationships, have effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to process daily workloads with minimal supervision. Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new systems quickly is essential.

Warehouse
Night Shift Manager
 
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Night Shift Manager to join Nectar Imports Ltd, a long established independent premium drinks wholesaler.  

The Role
 
Oversee all staff on the Night Shift with shared management responsibility for the Mid Shift ensuring that all picking of orders is completed and dispatched on our own vehicles within the correct timescales. Focus on pick accuracy is essential as we monitor these through 'Customer Failures'.  Make a vital contribution to improving and maintaining service levels.  

Key responsibilities include;

•Manage all staff reporting directly to you within the warehouse department
•Ensure man-hours are kept in line with volumes and overtime is kept to a minimum
•Handle staff related issues in a swift, decisive manner to prevent escalation.  
•Control all warehouse operations and keep the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner whilst maintaining a co-operative relationship with other warehouse staff, and personnel from other departments
•Ensure stock is kept safe and in the best possible condition ensuring sell by date rotation at ALL times.
•Ensure any non-receipted stock that has been delivered is checked against LIVE orders awaiting dispatch and, if required, stock to be checked and receipted through the goods in procedure
•Pick notes generated are to be sorted into a load plan that is in sequence to the delivery route set by Paragon and the weights distributed evenly across the bed of the lorry ensuring the vehicle axels are not overloaded
•Capture information for the weekly operations meeting and KPI's for the warehouse department
•Communicate after each shift to the day shift warehouse manager, ensuring they know all events to enable them to fulfil their job. This should be documented through the handover book
•Site security will fall into your remit for hours outside the normal working day while you are the most senior manager on site

Working hours for the role are Sunday to Thursday 21:00 - 06:00. 

About You
The successful applicant must have at least 5years' experience working in a warehouse environment and also have experience in warehouse management at team leader level or above. Must be highly organised with a positive approach. The successful candidate will be computer literate and have a good understanding of operating warehouse management systems.

Marketing Executive, Business Development Manager (x2)
 

We have exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing Executive to join Nectar Imports Ltd, a long established independent premium drinks wholesaler.

The Role

This role will be on a one-year fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, but there may be a permanent opportunity at the end of this contract. To assist in the planning and execution of all marketing activities, communicating the exciting portfolio of products and exceptional levels of customer service to the drinks trade. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for working to create new and exciting strategies and ideas to promote Nectar internally and externally.

Key responsibilities will include:

Campaign Delivery:

  • Working with the Marketing Manager, take responsibility for creating marketing and design strategies for specific campaigns and keeping up to date with the annual marketing plan. This may include brochures, web site and digital products, roadshows, stationery, presentations, PR and internal communications.
  • Responsible for the diarised planning and scheduling of the campaigns throughout the year and ensuring the marketing plan is up to date and all work delivered on time.

Print:

  • Take responsibility for the creation of the following print materials for campaigns; brochures, leaflets, banners, business stationery and ads, and the collation of all data and imagery needed for print purposes. To identify advertising opportunities during production process.
  • Co-ordinate the manufacture of marketing materials with external bodies: suppliers, agency, print and distribution, and deliver budget requirements.

Website / Digital Communications:

  • Responsible for ensuring that the web schedule is delivered on time and that all budgets are met.
  • Includes website maintenance and the delivery of engaging content.
  • Managing digital communications and social media by implementing content schedules and reviewing results. 

Administration, Process and Systems:

  • On-going management of photo, assets and video library.

Communication:

  • To be customer focused in all marketing activities internally and externally.
  • To adhere to the brand, its values and follow all guidelines when executing communications.
  • Responsible for the organisation and delivery of trade shows, working closely with the sales team, across the south of England. 

About You

The successful candidate will have a marketing degree or be CIM qualified with at least 3 years' experience in a similar marketing role. Ability to write accurate, imaginative copy and communication across all mediums with excellent attention to detail. A collaborative creative thinker that can work as part of a team. You will be skilled with Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and be experienced with social media platforms and email software.
