Administration and Sales
HR and Payroll Officer
 

The Role

Provide general day-to-day HR support and administration across the HR function, assisting the HR Manager with rolling out and managing key initiatives. Collate and process monthly payroll and overtime, providing monthly analysis to the Financial Controller.

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Responsible for managing all vacancies from advertising, arranging interviews through to offer and contract issue
  • Undertake HR induction with all new starters including; issuing of staff handbook, new starter form, new starter checklist, GDPR
  • Process probationary reviews confirming the outcome in writing
  • Monitor sickness levels and escalate to HR Manager to agree further action
  • Manage all employee's holiday
  • Book staff onto relevant and approved training
  • Ensure we have training proposals and training agreements on file
  • Process leavers and conduct exit interviews
  • Process references for new starters, leavers and tenancy agreements 
  • Analysing all departmental payroll budgets
  • Producing monthly cost analysis report
  • P11d's
  • Monitoring casual labour usage
  • Processing monthly payroll
  • Pension administrator


Working hours for the role are Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00

About You

The successful applicant must have at least 4 years' experience working within a payroll function with specific experience using Sage payroll. Either working towards or being L3 CIPD would be an advantage but not essential.

Must be highly organised, be able to work using their own initiative, and problem solve with ease. We are looking for someone who can take on full ownership of payroll and lead it from start to finish with minimal assistance and have excellent understand of payroll pension regulations and government legislation.

Wine Sales Executive
Wine Sales Executive
 

The Role

Nectar has a fantastic opportunity for a Wines Sales Executive reporting to the Regional Sales Manager. A large part of the remit for this role will be to grow the wine category both in volume and contribution across Nectar's whole customer base.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maximise wine sales and profitability.
  • Work closely with Nectar BDMs to exploit any wine opportunities.
  • ·Identify gaps within the existing customer base and target these areas, working closely with BDMs to assist them in increasing wine sales and, where appropriate and as agreed with BDMs, actively sell wine yourself to existing customers and prospect new accounts when relevant.
  • Provide wine expertise and training to the rest of the sales team and put in place an agreed programme of training / tasting sessions based on current trends / sales focus.
  • Develop and introduce a suite of tools to assist in the development of our wine category.
  • Increase the number of wine customers and their appreciation of this category.
  • Organise customer wine tastings.
  • Assist in customers' wine list management as required including seasonal / menu changes.
  • Attend events on behalf of Nectar i.e. London Wine Fair.
  • Work closely with both Marketing & Purchasing teams to assist in the development of the category.

About You

The successful candidate will be passionate about wine, WSET qualified and ready to act as a wine ambassador for Nectar. They will have an outgoing personality and the ability to share their enthusiasm with colleagues and customers alike. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong presentation skills with an ability to manage customers ahead of their expectations. Must have a good organisational skills with a good eye for detail and be self-driven with an ability to work on their own as well as part of a team.
