Low and Non-alcoholic Spirits

Dalston's Soda have jumped into the no and low-alcohol mix with the release of their new alcohol free Gin and Tonic sparkling botanical drinks range.

Timing the launch of their 'hangover free' G&Ts at a time when consumers are becoming increasingly sober curious and sales of non-alcoholic spirits are up 194% [Nielsen 52].

"Our alcohol-free G&T range is lifting the social pressures to booze on a night out," founder Duncan explains. "We went through at least twenty rounds of testing before landing on a recipe that we believe tastes just like a classic Gin and Tonic." Their Classic G&T and Rhubarb G&T flavours are well worth the try that also sticks with #Dry!

Seedlip's sister company, AEcorn is a collection of three non-alcoholic aperitifs to start any occasion where food and friends are present. Made from 100% English grown Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier grapes, these grapes are pressed early and blended with appetite stimulating herbs, roots and bitter botanicals to create a range of complex, bold and bitter non-alcoholic aperitifs.

To awaken the appetite, serve ∆corn Spritz style or use with Seedlip to make a variety of delicious non-alcoholic cocktails.

Bristol-based artisan spirit company Bramley & Gage have launched a new way to enjoy their strikingly smooth gin on the go.

Light and Low is a gin and tonic flavoured drink which packs all the flavour of their regular London Dry into a low alcohol, low calorie G&T. Mixed at 0.8% ABV, it shares all the characteristics you'd expect from a great craft gin and tonic, but without the alcoholic strength.

Sumptuous Softs

Squeezed from organic fruits without squeezing the growers, Lemonaid are truly ethical soft drinks. Made from pure juice, not concentrates, we use less sugar than regular soft drinks without adding anything artificial. Every bottle supports Fairtrade growers and helps fund the Lemonaid and ChariTea Foundation with over £4 million raised for social projects in the growing regions.

ChariTea is properly brewed iced tea. Made from whole leaf organic tea and lightly sweetened with agave, it's a naturally light refreshment for health-conscious consumers. Exempt from sugar tax and VAT, they come in 100% recyclable glass bottles.

Just because it's dry January doesn't mean you have to reach for a non-alcoholic beer. Why not try something new with Cornish Orchards' range of soft drinks in cans? Launched earlier this year, complete with a brand new look that moves away from their traditional glass bottles, here's what their design team, had to say, but don't just revel in their looks as the drinks are as sumptuous as ever!

Designed to be as versatile as consumers own tastes, Something and Nothing Seltzers are a modern contradiction. Drinkers go to yoga, eat healthily but still want to drink with friends in a pub or spend their weekend at a festival.

Something and Nothing seltzers were created to work as mixers as well as a stand along soft drink, delivering delicious, unique, low-calorie long drinks with premium spirits.

How about a Virgin Mary?

Longbottom set out to craft a modern classic that's refined, complex and packs a punch. Made with real tomato juice and properly spiced with a garnished blended in - the only decision to make it whether to add alcohol. And how much.

Low or Non-Alcoholic Beers

Peroni launched their first alcohol-free beer, Peroni Libera 0.0%, meticulously brewed with the same Peroni craftmanship in early 2019. No and low alcohol beer has increased its share of lager to 5.3%, up from 4.3% in 2017, with sales over £40m. Moderation is a key trend within alcohol, with 66% of customers having been on a night out without consuming alcohol.

Libera, meaning 'free' in Italian, empowers loyal Peroni Nastro Azzurrodrinkers and beyond, with the freedom and choice within their busy lifestyles, to opt for a non-alcoholic, adult alternative, adding a touch of Italian style without the alcohol and without the compromise. Libera also uses a dedicated yeast strain which produces a rich and intense flavour.

Big Drop Brewing is dedicated exclusively to making the finest 0.5% ABV beer. The idea for a brewing business that only made alcohol-free beer was conceived by their own lifestyle changes and experiences, such as fatherhood, and born out of the frustration of there being no decent tasting low alcohol craft beer available to quench their thirst.

The result doesn't compromise on taste. They don't just use barley, they use rye, wheat and oats, and they don't just use one type of each; across their beers, they use over 20 speciality grains. It's no wonder why they have won a heap of awards!
