Our buyer's wine pick of the month is El Ninot Blanco Valencia:
The eye-catching label design and "El Ninot de Paper" name is inspired by the paper dolls of the Las Falles de Valencia festival when puppets, often made of papier maché, are paraded around the town.
The grapes are sourced from Murviedros's 300 hectares of vineyard, and a further 1500 that they control in the surrounding area. El Ninot Bianco is predominantly produced from Viura grapes, blended with Sauvignon Blanc. The wine then undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel.
Full of apple and ripe pear aromas as well as lightly floral notes, this wine's palate features peach and citrus fruit that give it a fresh finish.
