A refreshingly different drinks supplier

Mulling is a romantic notion of mid-winter, associated with Christmas, snow, spices and sharing, it's the perfect way to spend a little time and to warm the soul.

This year we're seeing a real surge in mulling, and it's not only about wine and cider, gin (of course) is getting in on the game! Here's our pick of what's hot this season so you can offer your customer that something different.

Fresh from the Cornish countryside,Cornish Orchards Wassail Mulled Cider is a scrumptious aromatic brew of cider and apple juice that's infused with fresh oranges and hand-blended spices. The perfect cup of winter warmth.

Best served warm straight from one of their Wassail electric urns, if you buy four of their bag-in-boxes you'll get this fab kit free; it also includes a set of their enamel mugs adding that touch of tradition and authenticity.

Other comforting, hot cider treats that we stock, include Aspall Mulled Suffolk Cyder and Westons Mulled Cider.

Banish the winter chill with Aspall, deep in colour with aromas of citrus fruits and mulled spices, their mulled cyder was the first mulled cider launched in the UK and is made using a careful blending process.

For a real winter warmer try any of these delicious mulled ciders with a shot of dark rum!

A winter highlight, mulled wine is a welcoming warmth that resonates with customers and reminds them of winters past, being on a snowy mountainside or with family in front of the fire.

Our top tipple to simmer in an urn or on the stove with clemantine, cinnamon sticks, star anise, dried figs, cloves and black peppercorns is a bottle of Griffin Ridge Red. Full and fruity your customers will be supping until their heart's content.

For a special treat, try Ableforth's Christmas Mulled Cup,made with VSOP cognac, port, festive spices, peels and ginger. Create the perfect mulled wine every time or add to sparkling wine for a Kir Noel!

Mulled gin is on the rise, have a try at simmering Orchard Pig's Apple Rambler with spices and vanilla before mixing with Sipsmith Sloe Gin and serving with a slice of orange and a cinnamon stick.

If warm gin isn't quite what you're looking for a step away from mulling is Edinburgh Gin's Christmas edition. With a promise of perfumed, warming aromas from frankincense, a sweet flavour from myrrh followed by lingering spice from cinnamon and nutmeg - this really is the spirit of Christmas.

Why not see how it tastes in a mulled recipe too?!
