Sweetness: Dry
Grape: Pinot Noir
About: The fruit was sourced from a number of specifically chosen low cropping vineyards from the Southern Valleys region of Marlborough. Leading up to harvest each vineyard was closely monitored and tasted to determine when the flavours were at their optimum and harvested in the cool of the morning.
Cold-soaked for five days prior to fermentation to ensure proper extraction of colour and tannin. Wines were fermented in a mix of new and old French oak with a proportion in stainless steel.
Tasting notes: Aromas of boysenberry and dark cherry. The palate has a silky-smooth tannin structure with concentrated flavours of red summer berries. A luscious mouthfeel with pleasing subtle fruit sweetness on the finish.
Character: Redcurrants, raspberry, cherry
