Wines
Sweetness: Dry
Grape: Malbec
Grape info: Introduced from France in the nineteenth century, Malbec spread to become the most widely planted red varietal in Argentina. Deeply coloured and capable of producing intensely flavoured, aromatic wines with savoury notes, medium tannins and good aging potential.
About: Produced from 25-year-old vines in the Agrelo district of Mendoza, close to Walter’s bodega in the rain-shadow of the Cordon del Plata. The unwooded Malbec is vinified in stainless steel to preserve the freshness and brightness of the fruit.
Tasting note:A really pure expression of Malbec, deep red almost purple in colour and wonderfully aromatic with lifted violet, red currant and cassis notes.
Character: Blackcurrant, redcurrant, violet
