Grape info: Now Spain’s third most planted red varietal, Garnacha (Grenache) is characteristically deep in colour, with medicinal levels of alcohol and an attractive herby, spicey character. Tempranillo produces markedly tannic wines with notes of leather, tobacco, spice and sometimes strawberries.

Obaya is assembled from a number of vintages, combining the complexity of aged wine with the vibrancy of a new harvest. Aged in large, second and third use oak barrels for four months prior to bottling.
Tasting note: Vibrant and fruity on the nose with notes of strawberry, plum and vanilla. On the palate, hints of leather and dried herbs alongside cherry and blackcurrant. Medium-bodied with soft tannins.
