Grape info: A native of Spain (Garnacha Tinta), Grenache has a long history in the south of France, most notably in the wines of the southern Rhône valley, typically producing wines of a deep colour with medicinal levels of alcohol and an attractive herby, spicey character.
About: Established 75 years ago, but with a story spanning almost 90 years, Calabria has established itself as one of the top twenty wine producers in Australia. Celebrating 25 years, the Three Bridges range was born from Bill Calabria’s dedication to creating a strong reputation for premium Riverina wines.
Grapes are sourced from Centenarian vines, planted in 1914 in the Barossa Valley. Matured for ten months in American oak prior to bottling.
Tasting note: Elegant aromas of raspberries, cherries with hints of dried herbs. Youthful and supple tannins providing support and balance. Medium bodied, with notes of strawberry, plum and hints of orange and vanilla.
