Wines
Sweetness: Dry
Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir
Grape info: A blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir sourced from the Châtillonnais, Côte Chalonnaise and Mâconnais. The Chardonnay brings tension, white flowers and minerality; the Pinot Noir brings fruit, density and vinosity.
About: Founded in 1831, Albert Bichot’s vineyards now encompass six estates that cover Burgundy from north to south. Working together with their grower partners, they practise sustainable viticulture with a commitment to converting fully to organic viticulture in the Côte d’Or.
Ten percent of the cuvée undergoes a six month aging period in oak, the rest in stainless steel tanks for up to twenty months. The final cuvée is blended with 15% reserve wines, bringing together the vinosity of the base wines and tension from the new harvest in perfect balance.
Tasting note: Fine, even bubbles. The nose boasts notes of citrus, lime and pink grapefruit with white blossoms paving the way to a lively and fresh palate; clean and precise with beautiful length.
Character: Citrus, floral, balanced.
