Grape info: Harvested from a number of prestigious terroirs in Burgundy’s Côte d'Or including Chambolle-Musigny, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Gevrey-Chambertin, the Secret de Famille represents excellent value for money.
About: Founded in 1831, Albert Bichot’s vineyards now encompass six estates that cover Burgundy from north to south. Working together with their grower partners, they practise sustainable viticulture with a commitment to converting fully to organic viticulture in the Côte d’Or.
Aged entirely in oak with a proportion (20%) in new oak for a total period of 10-12 months.
Tasting note: Charming and fruity with aromas of blackcurrant and wild red berries. The palate is well balanced with supple tannins, and notes of raspberry, redcurrant and clove.
