Sweetness: Dry
Grape: Garnacha Tinta
Grape info: With its medicinal levels of alcohol and an attractive herby, spicey character, Garnacha (Grenache) lends itself very well to rosé production. Now Spain’s third most planted red varietal.
About: The Borsao winery was established as a co-operative in 1959 and in 2001 joined forces with another two progressive co-operatives. The Campo de Borja’s hot, arid climes allow grapes to achieve full ripeness whilst maintaining optimal acidity levels for freshness.
The grapes undergo 6 hours cold maceration for the must to achieve a delicate colour; followed by slow temperature-controlled fermentation at 17ºC in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting note:Pretty pale raspberry pink in colour with aromas of ripe berry fruit and fresh strawberry. Dry, approachable and well-balanced, with more appealing juicy strawberry fruit and a creamy mouthfeel.
Character: Strawberry, raspberry, cream
