Diez Siglos Verdejo

Sweetness: Dry

Grape: Verdejo

Grape info: Indigenous to the appellation of Rueda in Castilla y Leon (north central Spain), Verdejo is a rising star, producing highly aromatic, full-bodied wines that respond well to barrel fermentations and aging. Now the fifth most planted white variety in Spain.

About: Formed in 2010, Diez Siglos is a collective of 60 small to medium growers who are working together to continue the winemaking traditions of Rueda. They use their combined expertise, their best vineyards, and a new winery with the latest technology to produce great wines typical of the region.

Produced from the small vineyards surrounding the winery which are organically cultivated. The wine is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, and kept on its lees for 3 months, then rested before bottling.

Tasting note: Fresh citrus and herbaceous characters on the nose. The palate has ripe stone fruit and an appealing texture. The finish is bright and crisp with a zesty acidity.

Character: Citrus, dried herbs, fennel
