Wines
Sweetness: Dry
Grape: Pinot Gris
Grape info: Capable of producing contrasting styles from rich and intensely flavoured (generally labelled Pinot Gris) to lean and crisp, Pinot Grigio has proved one of wine’s enduringly popular styles over the last two decades.
About: In 1925, Rutini became the first winery to plant vines in the Uco Valley, which today is world-renowned as one of the top wine-producing regions in Mendoza and all of Argentina. Rutini has 400 hectares of vineyards at altitudes ranging between 1,050 and 1,200 meters above sea level. The viticulture team strives to grow grapes of the highest quality. To that end, they limit the vines production, employ an excellent irrigation system, and allow the fruit to reach the optimal level of ripeness before harvesting.
Tasting note: A richer, more overtly fruity take on Pinot Grigio ideally suited to your Christmas Brie or Camembert.
Character: Peach, melon, almond
