Grape info: A blend of 50% Macabeo, 35% Parellada and 15% Xarello. Macabeo provides the aromatic backbone, adding floral notes and hints of almond. Parellada lends a fresh, delicate, fruity dimension while Xarello imparts power, density, and longevity.
About: Located near Barcelona, Vilarnau specialise in small-scale, artisanal production of exclusive, high-quality Cavas. With state-of-the-art premises designed around a sustainable approach to viticulture, they strive to produce the finest Cavas with the smallest environmental footprint.
Each variety undergoes a separate vinification before blending and a second fermentation in bottle. The wines undergoes a minimum of fifteen months aging, allowing the development of Cava’s signature broad profile and aromatics.
Tasting note: On the nose, delicious crisp apple and ripe pear flavours. The palate brings a creamy mousse, ample vibrant flavours of fruit, nuts and honey with a refreshingly crisp finish.
