Cask Ale Week is an annual celebration of Britain's national
drink - cask beer!
Key reasons why Cask Ale Week is Important
1. Shines a Spotlight on a Unique British Tradition
Cask-conditioned ale-naturally carbonated, unfiltered, and served via gravity or hand-pump-is a beer style deeply rooted in British pub culture. Cask Ale Week gives this tradition the visibility it's due.
2. Brings More Customers Through the Pub Doors
Since cask ale is only served in pubs, promoting it encourages people to get out and support their local establishments. This is crucial for community pubs, many of which have struggled in recent years. (CAMRA)
3. Backs Local Breweries and Brewer Diversity
Cask Ale Week encourages venues to feature beers from a variety of breweries. This helps maintain the rich diversity of the category and supports smaller producers.
4. Energises the Market with Events and Engagement
From beer and food pairings to brewery tours, tap takeovers, "beer of the day" features, and ale trails-Cask Ale Week is filled with creative experiences that bring new drinkers into the fold. What could you have on your pub?
Here's a selection of cask ale brews to your bar for at least the time of the celebration...
