Working in harmony with nature. A holistic mindset is implemented across everything that the Cornish Orchards team does from seed to sip and everything around it. At the farm they are bursting with wildlife and believe nurturing it makes their cider all the sweeter.

Cornish Orchards stands apart from large-scale competitors, as a cider brand that truly delivers on quality:

🍏Using apples fresh from harvest.
🍎Crafting cider from 100% fresh-pressed apple juice.
Allowing time to mature for a deeper, more refined flavour.

Where it all began...

Drawing motivation from Cornwall Council's project to save, rejuvenate and replant traditional apple orchards, and wanting to encourage birds and wildlife, founder Andy planted three orchards on the Westnorth Manor farm soon after he arrived in 1992. Before long, he had one of the largest collections of Cornish apple varieties in the county, creating the perfect wildlife habitat.

Enthused by his new crop full of exciting, intriguing flavours, Andy juiced and blended, then hand labelled his first Cornish apple juices. With this success and the introduction of his first Cornish Orchards cider, Andy took the leap to diversify from dairy farming to juice and cider making and threw his wellies away!

Today a passionate team of over 25 local staff work hard to create full-of-flavour, whole fruit drinks and award-winning ciders.

The Process

🍏 Pressing - Made from 100% fresh pressed juice post-harvest to maximise flavour.
🍎 Fermentation - energy is saved by harnessing the cool Cornish climate to ferment the cider.
🍏 Maturation - matured for 6-12 months for superior depth of flavour.
🍎 Blending - Chris, Head Cidermaker's knowledge of variety is key to ensure the 'base' selection for the blend has the right balance of flavour, tannins and acid.

Never made from concentrate... like some well-known brands.
