A refreshingly different drinks supplier

Every year, on 25th January, people all around the world celebrate the memory of Scotland's bard, Robert Burns and his birthday. Whilst lover's of Scotland and this famous poet hold evenings of poetry, food, and fun, we like to celebrate with a spotlight on some of our best whiskies! Perfect for any occasion, but especially fitting for January.

Born in Glasgow, raised in cities everywhere, Auchentoshan is triple distilled and city-inspired since 1823. Every edition of Auchentoshan is flavoursome, smooth and drinkable - a whisky as aggressively welcoming as Glasgow itself.

How they make it... in the simplest form, and its purest, whisky is beer distilled, then they triple distil it before they wait. Auchentoshan are the only Schottish Single Malt to insist on triple distillation for every last drop, before they wait.

Malt it. Mill it. Mash it. Which creates their trademark clean, complex character. We stock three of their range: Auchentoshan 12 year old, American Oak and Three Wood

Bowmore are the original Islay distillery and home to the oldest Scotch whisky maturation warehouse in the world.

Within their No. 1 Vaults, you'll find more Scotch history than anywhere else. It's in the fresh sea air, the old stone walls, and the earth upon which every cask of Bowmore whisky matures.

A place of legend and craftsmanship, of beauty and reflection, the No. 1 Vaults is where Bowmore single malt Scotch whisky is meticulously matured until perfect. the master distillers have been doing it that way since 1779.

Reflecting the essence of Bowmore - thrashing waves, windswept landscapes and generations of tradition - the 12 years old is both complex and perfectly balanced. Subtle lemon and sweet heather honey complement Bowmore's trademark peat smoke, leading to a delicious, long and mellow finish.

Made with pride on Orkney, Highland Park is a perfectly balanced single malt. Shaped, like its island home, by a wild climate and stormy seas, and by the Vikings who left their mark on the community and culture over 1,000 years ago. With one in three islanders bearing the DNA of Vikings, Orcadians feel strongly connected to their ancestors and are justified in proudly stating that Highland Park whisky is crafted by modern-day Viking souls.

Highland Park 12 Year Old Whisky, otherwise known as Viking Honour, reflects the unique culture of the remote island home on Orkney. They honour the spirit of their Viking ancestors, sharing their pride, integrity and fierce independence, and distill this award-winning whisky to the same exacting standards introduced in 1798 by our founder, Magnus Eunson, a descendant of those early Viking settlers. Offering a light smoke flavour with heather and honey notes; Highland Park a versatile and approachable single malt.

Renowned for being the world's richest single malt Scotch, Laphroaig's award-winning spirit is matured in a range of different woods and casks, and the product of a 200 year old tradition of unique whisky making.

10 Year Old is the original Laphroaig, distilled the same way today as when Ian Hunter invented it more than 75 years ago. It is the foundation of all other Laphroaig expressions. In making Laphroaig, malted barley is dried over a peat fire. The smoke from this peat, found only on Islay, gives Laphroaig its particularly rich flavour.

Those enjoying the 10 Year Old will first notice the bold, smoky taste, followed by a hint of seaweed and a surprising sweetness. This full-bodied variant is the foundation of all Laphroaig expressions and comes with a long finish.

Celebrate the new year and Burns in style with these delicious whiskies.
