Grape info: Tempranillo produces markedly tannic wines with notes of leather, tobacco, spice and sometimes strawberries. Garnacha adds body, colour and alcohol.

About: Rodríguez y Sanzo is a family wine company with vineyards across many important Spanish D.Os. Winemaker Javier Rodríguez employs an ethos of sustainable agriculture, increasingly within the framework of biodynamic and organic viticulture to create distinctive wines, rooted in tradition, with a modern twist.

Vineyards are located in different plots between 650m and 720m above sea level. Vines are aged between 15 and 35 years old grown on sandy soils with gravel. After malolactic fermentation, the wine rests in tanks during the winter and is then racked into new French oak barrels. After aging for 2 months, it is bottled.
