Grape info: Although Malbec is now more commonly associated with Argentina, its home is Cahors in the south-west of France. If proper ripeness can be achieved, wines can be deeply coloured, aromatic and have good aging potential.

Info: Made by esteemed Malbec producer Georges Vigouroux, the wines in this cuvée come from northern and southern regions of Occitanie on clay-limestone soils which contribute to the structure and freshness of the wines.

A short maceration precedes vinification is in stainless steel tanks to maintain Malbec’s primary fruit aromas.

Tasting note: A nose of black fruit and blackcurrant supported by firm, fine-grained tannins. An intense and fruity red wine, perfect for enjoying as an aperitif or paired with grilled meats.

Character: Plum, blackcurrant, vanilla.
