Grape info: A native of Spain, probably most famous for its role in Rioja, where it’s known as Mazuelo, Carignan is naturally very high in tannins, acidity and colour.

Info: Made from a blend of grape varieties selected by Les Vignobles Foncalieu, located in the south of France. The grapes thrive on chalky clay soils, benefiting from the Mediterranean climate and Atlantic influences.

Traditional winemaking methods are employed with fermentation in temperature-controlled vats for a better extraction. Aged for a short period in stainless steel.

Tasting note: Soft and approachable, showing ripe blackberry and plum fruit with subtle hints of spice. Smooth tannins and a rounded texture make for an easy-drinking, fruit-forward finish.
