Grape info: A native of northern Portugal and northwest Spain (Albariño) making full bodied, structural wines often with a keen, saline acidity, alongside plenty of fruit and all manner of floral aromas. Increasingly popular, it has been transplanted as far afield as North America and Australia.

About: Founded in 1983, Cazal Ventozela is a family-run winery, dedicated to the production of Vinho Verde. Using traditional grape varieties, they strive to producing wines truly expressive of their unique terroir.

90% of the wine is fermented in stainless steel, the remaining 10% in oak barrels for added richness. Wines remain on the lees for a further four months prior to bottling.

Tasting Note: Citrus yellow in colour with an intense, mineral character, seamlessly blended with notes of vanilla, honeysuckle, orange peel and lemongrass. Full bodied and complex with an excellent length and refreshing finish.
