Domaine Fontval Rose
Domaine Fontval Rose
Sweetness: Dry
Grape(s): Grenache, Mourvedre
Grape info: With its medicinal levels of alcohol and an attractive herby, spicey character, Grenache lends itself very well to rosé production. Southern France can produce some of the world’s finest iterations of this style, often displaying a refined mineral structure and elegance.
Info: This family-owned estate has been based in the village of Ansouis since 1925. Set between the Durance Valley and the southern slopes of the Luberon massif, its 12-hectare vineyard benefits from an exceptional natural setting and a well-preserved ecosystem.
Sustainable viticulture and a commitment to environmental stewardship saw the domaine awarded Agriconfiance certification in 2010.
Tasting note: Brilliant pale pink in colour with a nose of redcurrants, cherries and subtle notes of raspberries. Fresh and fruity with a remarkably long finish.
Character: Red currant, raspberry, cherry
