Grape info: A native of Spain (Garnacha Tinta), Grenache has a long history in the south of France, most notably in the wines of the southern Rhône valley, typically producing wines of a deep colour with medicinal levels of alcohol and an attractive herby, spicey character.
About: A single varietal red from de-classified Saint Chinian vines. Punching extraordinarily above its weight, this is a stunning expression of the Grenache grape.
Tasting note: Bright, black cherry and plum aromas on the nose. The palate is dense and concentrated with notes of tinned strawberry, plum and dried herbs, supportive tannins and a lengthy finish.
