Grape info: Merlot’s soft, attractive fruitiness have seen it transplanted to almost every wine-growing country in the world. Approachable, with more mellow tannins than its traditional blending partners, Merlot tends towards flavours of plum jam, cherries and an occasionally herbaceous note.

About: A family-run enterprise since 1920, Cantini Minini have been developing relationships and cooperative projects with growers from many of Italy’s wine-producing regions for over 100 years. Palazzo Pisano represents an easy-drinking style, to be enjoyed in its youth.

Tasting note: Aromas of cherry and plum on the nose. A medium-bodied palate with supple tannins and a hint of chocolate on the finish.
