Grape info: Often found playing a supporting role in southern French blends, Cinsaut is also ideally suited to the production of rosé. Its naturally aromatic profile makes for attractively perfumed wines, typically showing notes of raspberries, cherries and violets.

About: A native of the Vaucluse department in southern France, Cinsaut is well adapted to the hot Mediterranean climate. High summer temperatures are mediated by ocean winds, providing the grapes with an ideal, long, slow ripening period.

Grapes are harvested at night when temperatures are low to help retain freshness and acidity. Following the fermentation, the wine is aged on the lees for a period of four months.

Tasting note: Light salmon pink in colour. On the nose, vibrant aromas of pink grapefruit, wild raspberry and strawberry. The palate is balanced, with fresh citrus notes on the finish.
