Grape info: Though indigenous to France, Sauvignon’s unique aromatic profile has seen it successfully transplanted all over the world to become the third most cultivated variety, behind only Chardonnay and Airén. Its enduring popularity is down to its distinctive, multi-layered combination of youthful, ‘green’ flavours matched with a keen acidity, capable of producing wines of real substance.

About: Established 75 years ago, but with a story spanning almost 90 years, Calabria has established itself as one of the top twenty wine producers in Australia. More than seven decades later, the third generation proudly carries on their grandparents' values of hard work and innovation.

Grapes were harvested in the cool of the night to retain freshness and immediately chilled before pressing. A light fining and filtering before bottling helped to retain its naturally delicate aromatics.

Tasting note: Notes of Gooseberry, honey and tropical fruits on the nose. Light bodied and dry, with refreshing green melon and herbaceous flavours woven throughout a pure and delicate palate.
