Balfour’s first barrel-aged
Chardonnay is sourced from three parcels of Chardonnay, all from
Burgundy clones, handpicked before being fermented separately into stainless
steel tanks.
Five months in new French and American oak added elements of spice and vanilla.
Tasting note:A fresh palate with hints of grapefruit, green apple and cinnamon. Skilful use of oak has produced a wine of great intensity, complexity and purity. The finish is long, with lime and salty notes.
