Grape: Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional

Grape info: Alicante Bouschet produces very deeply coloured, soft and fruity wines that have, of late, found particular success in Portugal’s Alentejo region. Unusually for red grapes, the pulp is also red, hence its deeply hued wines. Touriga Franca adds a perfumed elegance while Touriga Nacional confers colour, tannin and age-worthy potential.

Wines undergo a pre-fermentation maceration at low temperature, followed by fermentation in stainless steel vats and micro-oxygenation.

Tasting note: Ruby red colour with violet tones. Aromas of cherries, blackberries and cassis with well-integrated soft balsamic notes and spices. Round tannins and a distinct finish.
