Whiskey has been produced in the Bushmills area for centuries by craftsmen steeped in a unique tradition. The original licence to distil whiskey was granted to the area by King James I in 1608 but local people had been distilling their unique style of whiskey for centuries before that, using the clear waters of the River Bush. Today Bushmills produces award winning blended and single malt whiskey, with the classic smooth Bushmills taste.
Bushmills Black Bush is a special blend which combines a uniquely high proportion of malt whiskey matured in former Oloroso sherry casks with a sweet, batch-distilled grain whiskey.
